What is a Baby Crile Wood Needle Holder TC?

The Baby Crile Wood Needle Holder TC is the smaller, more delicate version of the standard Crile Wood Needle Holder. “Baby” means fine, small, and light.

Standard Crile Wood is a heavy, robust needle holder. The Baby Crile Wood is its delicate counterpart designed for fine suturing, plastic surgery, and small vessel ligation.

What does TC mean?
TC = Tungsten Carbide Inserts. Two gold-colored tungsten carbide plates are brazed onto the jaws. This is very important:

Without TC: Steel jaws wear out and the needle slips.
With TC: Tungsten carbide is much harder than steel. It grips the needle 10x stronger, never wears out, and the needle will not slip or rotate. It also protects the holder from damage by the needle.

The Solid Serrated jaws mean there is no groove – the entire jaw is finely serrated for holding very fine needles.
