The Crile Wood Needle Holder is a dual-purpose surgical instrument that combines the functionality of a Crile hemostatic forceps with a Mayo-Hegar style needle holder. Its compact, sturdy design and fine jaws make it ideal for holding small to medium-sized suture needles securely during suturing, while also capable of clamping small vessels.

Featuring a box joint, ergonomic finger rings, and a positive ratchet lock, it ensures a firm grip on the needle without slipping or rotating, giving the surgeon complete control during interrupted and continuous suturing. The cross-serrated jaws provide excellent needle stability.

Manufactured from premium surgical-grade stainless steel, it is corrosion-resistant, fully autoclavable, and built for long-term OR use.

Two Jaw Options Available:

1. Grooved Serrated: Features a central groove along the jaw to perfectly seat the suture needle and prevent it from twisting. The most popular choice for general suturing. Preferred by most surgeons.

2. Solid Serrated: Features full cross-serrations without a central groove. Provides a larger surface contact and stronger grip, ideal for heavier needles and tougher tissue, and can also be used as a hemostat.
